There is some learning curve for some users to understand that the files are not being kept in a 3rd party location, such as file sharing programs where you can view the files online, because they are being stored by the company offering the service. Some challenges when sharing folders with multiple people occasionally I have to recreate a folder in order for all to be able to view/connect with it, which is problematic when users are located in a variety of locations and most are new to the program. The backup "archive" feature is wonderful at ensuring any changes/deletions can be mitigated if unwanted. I enjoy that I can share folders located anywhere on my PC. Love that my information is secure and not stored on servers in unknown locations. There are enough features to mitigate an error any user may makes when sharing company files and projects. There have been some hiccups in introducing the system to others we work with, but the pros outweigh the cons for us. Our experience with Resilio Sync has been positive, due to the overall security of our information, since we are in an industry where this factor is paramount. Would be helpful if there was some ability to lock out people accessing files from other nodes or warn them that someone else has the file open and as such changes can be lost. A right click and re-index function would be useful as had a couple peers say they were synced, or a right click and re-start would be helpful. Would like some better management or dashboard to monitor if peers go off-line or sync status, maybe some easier ability to add folders to ignore list versus having to edit a text file. Runs on NAS and easy to add/share folders for syncing, so running common NAS in multiple offices the common UI/interaction has allowed for quick setup of folders to sync/share CONS It has not been completely hands off and I discovered I needed to upgrade memory on NAS devices as Resilio does consume a fair bit of memory and the NAS would kill the Resilio service if memory or CPU useage becomes too high, but through experience and understanding limitations of hardware and software I find it is now highly reliable and I have peace of mind that all peer locations have an update to date version of all work files. Overall experience has been good at having multiple office locations keep files shared/sync simply and easily.
